Nursery: Stage One

Zach and I have been working on house projects like crazy for the last two weeks.  I am so excited to have things cleaned out and clutter free!  Of course, if you visited my house at the moment it might look like nothing has been done...there is dog hair everywhere (she is shedding her entire coat right now!), piles of random things that we are still organizing, and dust.  BUT, if you only knew what it looked like before.  We are breaking the clutter habit starting now (a girl can dream right?).

Onto the fun stuff, the nursery! My husband is amazing.  He has been patiently helping me with random projects, lifting things that are too heavy for me (while I boss him around a bit), and painting our sweet little girl's nursery! It still needs some touch ups and obviously needs to be cleaned, but what do you think? I absolutely love it! Did I mention that I also LOVE her fancy crib :)
As you can see, a work in progress. But we love the walls so far!
We put together her crib! So adorable.
This is just a little update on her nursery in stage one.  More to come in a week or so...and it will include some pretty pink additions!
I love the cute little details.

Celebrating Firsts

Life always brings something new into our story and it is clear to me that God uses everything to shape us, if we let Him.  I am convinced that no matter how old you are, you can always experience something for the first time.  I am even more convinced that the children in our lives are just reminders to live life more fully and try new things.  I absolutely LOVE watching my nieces and nephews experience different parts of life for the first time. And of course, my mind wanders to my own sweet little bundle. I cannot wait to explore the world through the eyes of my baby girl.  I want her to live life to the fullest and have every opportunity to learn and grow.

This weekend we celebrated our nieces 1st birthday and I couldn't help but do a blog post...it was a lollipop theme! SO cute! I am pretty sure the cake was THE cutest cake I have ever seen.

I didn't get a chance to take a picture of Emma Rose in her ADORABLE (and hip) outfit...she even had coordinating converse (my kinda girl)! It was so fun to see her waddle-walk around in her tutu and converse and enjoy her party. She is the sweetest little thing.
And of course, my favorite part is the devouring of their 1st cake! Except as a mom, I have heard getting frosting out of their hair is not fun...I guess I will be experiencing that firsthand in almost 1 year!!

Uncle Zachy and Aunt Jackie love you!

Hoping you are celebrating the firsts in your life!

Third Trimester!

It is amazing when I see and feel Baby L moving around in my belly. As I continue to grow, her movements show more on the surface of my stomach and I feel them strongly! She loves to dance around at bed time and especially loves moving around when her daddy has his hand on my belly. She will poke his hand over and over when he nudges her. She is already giving him some loves and we can't get enough of her.

I am officially in the 3rd trimester...the countdown has begun! I have a long nesting to-do list and I am looking forward to having more time dedicated to her nursery and getting my house organized. For the moment, I am taking in each day and enjoying the process. Happy Spring!
