Little Love Bug

Good news...my camera is on its way back to me :) We shall see if it is back to tip top shape.  My lens on the other hand...sadly it won't be returning to me so I will have to settle for awhile on a less than preferred lens.  I did have a chance to snap a few shots of my lovely little lady bug.
 We LOVE her!
Much love to you and your little love bugs ;)

4 Months and Adorable!

We are loving our little Haley and cannot believe she is already 4 months old!
Remember when she was just 2 weeks old?!?
So tiny and her skin smelled like newborn baby...sometimes I find myself missing my little 2 week old Haley.  But then I look at her now and I am amazed.  Thankfulness is threaded throughout each moment with her.
So what is she up to at 4 months?  She is 16 lbs, 7.4 ounces, 25 inches long, and clearly she is keeping her blue eyes.  Well, you may have seen the blog post about her rolling over...she is really getting the hang of that now.  She can sit without me with a little help from the boppy pillow.  She smiles, squeals, and chats away.  She seems to be a little shy with large crowds of people or overwhelmed with new people all up in her grill but she smiles and chats with people otherwise.  So I am thinking she is a social introvert or in other words, she likes people but is a little shy.  For me, she is such a joy.

Happy 4 months of life Haley baby!  Mommy and daddy love you!

My Little Pumpkin

Haley is 4 months old today...I cannot believe it.  And of course I didn't take her "official" monthly picture before I broke my camera and lens (sad face).  I am so bummed about that but luckily, I got some shots of her at the pumpkin patch.  I wish I wouldn't have rushed taking them but they are still pretty cute.

Rolling...

This is Haley after she rolled onto her tummy from her back!
We have a roller!  She is much like her calculated daddy and it takes her 2 minutes to roll all the way onto her tummy from her back (literally, you don't need to really watch the video past 2 minutes 15 seconds...but it does take her that long to roll over).
We are so proud of our Haley baby.

Cider, Caramel Apples, and Toothless Smiles

I am not perfect and although I am happy, it isn't always rainbows and unicorns.  Life just doesn't work that way.  I have bad days and today was one of them.  I was up until 4am worrying and stressing about a myriad of ridiculous things that I cannot control...and making lists.  This happens very rarely for me since I have always had a healthy relationship with sleep...nothing normally gets in my way.  I wish I could say that something beautiful and creative resulted from the wee hours of the morning but it wouldn't be true.  I came out of last night with a list that really means nothing, a headache, tears, and the realization that I need to trust God more.
One beautiful and wonderful and happy part of my day...toothless smiles from a well-rested baby!  At least one of us slept.
Another thing that made me feel a little better today was spiced apple cider, a pumpkin spice muffin, and a caramel apple! Yep...I enjoyed every bit of my fall treats.
I love that tomorrow is a new day and that God is right there waiting for me to trust Him.  He is walking this journey with me as I learn to relinquish control and give up my worry and trust in Him.

Here's to hoping I sleep soundly tonight and have a better day tomorrow!  There is always this sweet girl to look forward to in the morning :)

Bundled

Colorado has been cold and Haley is learning how to weather the storm in style!  And we have matching knit boots, too fun!
 I love my sweet bundle.
She is taking after her daddy...the Colorado cold did not seem to phase her.

Happiness

This smile lightens up each and every day!  This picture doesn't capture her coos, squeals, and babbling, which makes my day even brighter.
Even though winter has creeped into our days, we still find happiness in each others company.  In regards to this unwelcome visit of snow to our beautiful fall weather, even Payton is peeved.
With the wintery weather, I have tried to keep Haley a bit warmer and so the battle with the socks begins!
I have enjoyed listening to her babbles when she wakes up in the morning and after her naps.  Even more so, I love that smile when I walk in the room to pick her up.
I am not the only friend she talks to during the day...she has become fast friends with her cow and her hippo.
  Such a sweet beauty!
Motherhood has been one of pure happiness!  I am so thankful for the opportunity to love this little one.

A little of this, a little of that

Our little girl is 15 weeks old...crazy!  Haley met her little 2nd cousin Ava this week...she is a tiny little thing and is beautiful!
She makes Haley look gigantic!  We are really looking forward to play dates and getting to know sweet Ava better.
We have been busy the last week playing catch up.  Recovery is much slower with a little one and only 4-5 hours of sleep at a time...which is why I need my cup o' joe every morning!  I try to sit back and relax during Haley's first nap.  It really helps me be a better mommy :) Caffeine, quiet time, and relaxing. I recommend it.
Haley has been enjoying daddy more and more.  She is fascinated with him and she thinks he is hilarious!
We got to celebrate Papa Poncy's birthday.  Haley loves her Papa and Grandma Dede and has been getting more interactive and fun with others.

Happy Thursday!  As you can tell from this random post, I am still recovering :)  I think I might go take a nap!
