Savoring Every Second, Haley is 7 Months!

Haley is 7 months and I cannot seem to hold onto the days long enough.

This is her new favorite face...and I LOVE it!

This season of my life has been filled with so much change and so much joy.  Sometimes the day to day can seem difficult and the nights feel long with lack of sleep.  When I look back, I am sad to see that 7 months have already gone by.  Haley doesn't sleep in my arms for every nap (yep, that's what we did in the beginning and I loved it!).  Her toothless smile is slowly disappearing with her incoming baby teeth (she has 2 now).  She can get around more on her own, not crawling just yet but very, very close.  She is learning to dance and clap. And, I am pretty sure she knows who she is talking about when she says "dada."  With all of the constant change in Haley, there is a twinge of sadness that I feel mixed in with a deep pride and joy in watching her grow.
I cannot help but marvel at God's beautiful and sweet creation in Haley.
Every day I wonder at life and what it means to love one another selflessly.  I see my marriage in a new light and I experience and understand God's love a little differently now.  I feel like there is a work in my heart since having Haley, like I have settled into myself.  Sure there are hormones, worry, and moments of insecurity but overall, I love being certain of where I am in life.  It has been a while since I have felt this way.
So even though I hate how fast the last 7 months have gone and I have had some moments of exhaustion, etc, I can say that I have enjoyed the big and little moments.  And I love taking in the milestones of my sweet, joyful, 7 month old baby girl.
I hope that all of you are taking the time to settle into where you are at today.  Let us each savor every second with our loved ones while we have them.

Mommy Turns 29 and I am Teething!

Happy Birthday Mommy! Wow, 29 years!
I love my mommy. We dance, laugh, clap, chat and sing together.
She makes me smile!
And so does daddy...I really love my daddy too.
Mommy has been trying to help me sleep better at night...but she didn't realize that I was teething! Now I have my first tooth and mommy thinks it is funny that my tongue is always sticking out of my mouth. Well, except when she tries to take a picture of it and I don't let her.
We had a fun time celebrating mommy and I could tell she had fun too!  She just kept saying how blessed she is and how much she loves me and daddy.  And I think she knows that we love her too :)

Green, Messy, and Delicious

With Haley approaching 7 months, we figured it was about time to start teaching her how to eat solids.  We chose to give her avocado for her first food and she liked it!  Enjoy the photos, they pretty much tell the story...she liked it, she was unsure, she didn't like it, she loved it!
Onto some more exciting mommy responsibilities...making homemade baby food!!

Christmas, Family, and Magic

Christmas is filled with magic, family, and love.  I am beyond blessed by my family.  I love sharing my little girl with those who love her and who will be apart of her life for ballet recitals, soccer games, and graduations to come.  And amidst the love, presents, and laughter, there is a magic to this time of year.  I so look forward to next year and Haley being old enough to really enjoy it.
This Christmas we certainly missed our Poncy family in California...Haley cannot wait to see her cousins (and the rest of the family) again! Countdown until June :)

This year we started the holidays celebrating December birthdays...always so much fun!
And the kiddos LOVE to hold Haley...as you can see, Porter really wanted to hold Haley instead of Emma Rose ;)

We enjoyed a quiet morning at home on Christmas Eve...Santa came early to our house!
Haley loved her stocking and gifts.
Then it was off to Papa and Grandma Dede's house for Christmas Eve!

Haley LOVED the story book about Jesus' birth that my parents recorded for her! I think it might be her favorite book of all...and I love that it tells the true meaning of Christmas!

 Baby's 1st Christmas at Grandma Dede's and Papa's.
Do you like her watermelon hat from Santa? I think it is hilarious and adorable!!

And of course, we were off to celebrate Christmas Day with Nane Ne, Papa T, and the rest of the family. Haley loved opening her stocking at Nana's and Papa's house!
Sending much love to you and yours...hoping your holiday season was full of love and magic too!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
