10 Months..."I like to move it, move it!"

Haley is 10 months old...or in other words, she is 2 months shy of ONE YEAR!
She is definitely enjoying her ability to move around more freely, making it more difficult for me to get anything done. But I love watching her investigate and attempt new things.
Believe it or not...she looks like she has "so" much hair now!
She is now pulling up on everything to try and stand...sometimes she gets there, sometimes it topples on top of her, and sometimes she falls and cries.

Either way, she is moving like crazy and we will soon be running after her.
As you can see, she didn't sit nicely in her pink chair while I took pictures like she once did...she wanted to dive bomb off of it and investigate her crib, her toy, the chair...anything.
Oh the excitement of watching your child grow and become more independent.  It doesn't come without a little sadness as our little baby grows up right before our eyes.

Haley,
Another month of love, fun, laughs, and sweetness.  You bring us so much joy and challenge us to be better people, better parents, better followers of Christ. You watch us and I can tell you already mimic us.  You are a beautiful baby girl.  We love you sweets!

Family Fun

We have been so busy the last couple of weeks.  On top of our whirlwind visits with people, Haley now has 4 teeth and her 2 front teeth are coming in slowly but surely!  We have had some sleepless nights but I am trying to fully enjoy my cuddle sessions with my uncomfortable, teething little girl.  Especially because during the day, she is on the move...army crawling and rolling all over the place.
She sees something interesting.
She wants to play with it.
She gets a little closer to it.
Gets a hand on this new "toy."
 "Yessssss! I got it!"
And into the mouth it goes...I cannot keep her from putting her toys, dog hair, my hair, and any little piece of fuzz into her mouth!
Recently, we surprised my cousin Robin with the help of the family during the weekend she was wedding dress shopping.  I am the Matron of Honor and duty calls...with a little fun as well. Plus, Haley just loved Robin!
 And the wedding dress too!
Jackson had his own thoughts about the dress.
And of course there are like 20 dogs at my aunts house with all of the grand-dogs. It is CRAZY! But we have a little animal lover in Haley, besides the "scary" barking, she loved the little pups running around.
Haley enjoyed all of the attention from the fam.
On top of all the fun...Haley and Jackson got to know each other better.
Fast friends...but I think Jackson learned a lesson real quick.
Girls can scratch your eyeball out fast if your not careful...hopefully he won't hold it against Haley.

Wasn't Easter Just Yesterday?

First of all, Easter seems like it was yesterday so I don't feel bad for posting so late ;) He is still risen, indeed! Haley's first Easter was full of fun! I don't have pictures from our Poncy celebration with Grandma Dede and Papa but I do have plenty with her cousins on the Leavitt side!
They love getting sloppy kisses from my girl and it warms my heart to see them love her so much!
 That was a wet one!
I am not even sure how many times she kissed her cousin Porter and Ansley!
 It was adorable!

Haley enjoyed her Easter egg hunt but I do have to say she took it all too seriously ;)
I could not get a smile out of her.

All in all we felt overwhelmingly blessed this year by our Savior and our family. I am learning more and more how important it is to acknowledge Christ in my everyday life...we should not just celebrate the wonderful reality of Easter once a year, but everyday.  So take this late Easter post as a reminder to think upon Him who loves you so dearly.
Happy Easter 2013 (a little delayed)!

Nine Months!

It is amazing to think that I carried Haley for 9 months and now she has lived outside of my belly for just as long!
I remember feeling protective over my belly and wanting to be sure I stayed healthy for her.  Now my control over Haley's safety and health is just as fierce (don't mess with mama bear), but she is becoming more mobile and independent by the day.
I am more than delighted to see her explore the world and meet new people. Keep your eyes peeled for a few fun peeks on future blogs...
Haley played on the grass barefoot for the first time and we are so looking forward to warmer weather to have more fun!
She also had some fun with her 2nd cousin Jackson...what a cutie...more fun on that one to come.
I also cannot wait to share the Easter celebration with the family!
She even found a few eggs from the Easter bunny!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.

And to you Haley baby. We love you oh so much and celebrate another month of your happy, beautiful life!
